Our objective was to introduce EDP to the Spanish consumer for the first time. It is the biggest energy company in Portugal, and we needed to communicate that leadership… while keeping the small-company soul at the same time. To do that, we launched a powerful campaign with a shocking tagline for an energy company: “switch off the light and switch on your imagination”. It’s a message that connects with the Spanish audience and invites them to forget all they know about the category and discover a new way to understand energy.
All of this, because EDP needed to communicate that it is a company that takes care of the people, it is transparent, honest, and push their customers to imagine all they can do with energy.
