Save Busuu

Busuu is a network of language schools around the world, present in 200 counties. It owes its name to a dying language from the North of Camerun which is at risk of becoming extinct according to UNESCO. There are currently only 8 people left that speak Busuu. In June 2010 we went to meet the remaining Busuu speakers. Together with them we made the first video in this strange and rare language. The Busuu speakers themselves were the stars, and delighted us with the song ?Save Busuu.? We then called on people around the world to help us save this dying language by singing with them and learning the language on the only website in the world that teaches it: The campaign was a hit and increased the number of people registered on by 800.000 new users. Many news outlets spoke of the campaign.
